You’re In My Listening Space!

I love music, I have it surrounding me pretty much every waking moment of my life. Not only do I have my iPod but my phone is full of apps that I can plug myself into. I’m a fan of Spotify as I like to discover new music and read about upcoming artists and their recommended feature is always a good way to get lost in the music world, where you can find some hidden gems.

Yahoo now have a new app called Aviate which also looks like something I might investigate a bit further.

Yahoo’s Aviate app for Android gets smarter when you listen to music
Aviate already surfaces relevant apps at the right place and time but now it can do the same for music. When plugging in your headphones, Aviate will show music apps plus a bio of the artist you’re currently listening to.

I tend to make playlists that relate to my mood, so if I’m feeling a little on the sluggish side, then I’ll listen to my “motivation” collection, so the idea of it launching applications when I’m at work or dining out that are related, that’s pretty cool.

Well I’m sold! Anything that makes navigating my phone a bit easier rather than searching through all my apps has got to be a good thing!

Listening Space does look like a great addition to the Aviate app. I’ll be plugged into my headphones in no time, I wonder if it works with wireless speakers?
