Back to the Future, I have to say is one of my favorite movies of all time. The trilogy is something that I can watch over and over again and it always brings a smile to my face. With the hoax hoverboard video that everyone has been talking about, I simply had to pass comment.
HUVr Makes Back to the Future Hoverboard Look Pretty Real
It’s not fair. Actually, who am I kidding? I haven’t ridden a skateboard for 20 years and, despite trying out for the U.S. Olympic Electric Unicycle Team a couple years ago, I’m past my prime in so many categories that my back hurts just thinking about it. Anyway, back to the fake video about the Back to the Future hoverboard. You’ll notice it looks pretty realistic and relies on several celebrities to sell the sizzle.
Got to love Doc Brown!
2015 (that’s next year…WOW!) is the year in which Marty McFly travels into the future from 1985. The year where the visualization of the future includes flying cars, self drying clothes and of course the hoverboard. You’ll be forgiven for thinking that the cult movie idea could be real. After all, technology doesn’t surprise us so much anymore does it? We are now of the mindset where so many things are possible, that many of us wouldn’t doubt for a second.
We already talk to each other through our computers, television screens, tablets and cell phones, just like Marty does with Needles in the movie and have so many gadgets and accessories that are already surrounding us. However, are some of the ideas from the movie a fun novelty to have or a waste in technological advances?
Nike takes technology ‘Back to the Future’ – Red and Black
Back to the Future: Part II” might have had some pretty awesome inventions like instant Pizza Hut and hover boards that the 1980′s hoped to see in the near future
With the ‘retro’ vibe that everyone seems to be following these days, then as a fashion statement I can see that these sneakers could be popular. Not to mention a clever marketing technique, as the film will be celebrating its 30 year anniversary next year. YES! 30 YEARS! So with some adroit timing, this could really work for Nike.
Maybe the Mr Fusion Home Energy Reactor is what we should be setting our sites on a little more. Recycling waste to produce energy, to one day fly our own DeLorean time machine! Anything is possible.
