I’ve just found something that I got a little bit excited about! With all buzz around at the moment for the Samsung Galaxy S5, I thought I’d do a little reading to see what else the device has to offer. The first thing that waved at me, was not the new phone itself but the new Galaxy S5 Zoom. One thing I’ve struggled with on the camera side of cell phones, is that the device just doesn’t feel like a camera, so I struggle to get the shots I want and the feeling of pressing a shutter button. Maybe this could be the answer I’m looking for…
Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom – more specs revealed through Antutu benchmark
Last year, Samsung launched a unique device that could best be described as half Galaxy S4 and half camera. It even looked like the two were physically spliced together, resulting in an Android powered camera called the Galaxy S4 Zoom. This year, along with the rebooted flagship phone that is the Galaxy S5, Samsung is launching an updated camera as well, sticking to their guns, it will be named the Galaxy S5 Zoom.
I will most certainly be keeping my eyes peeled on that! Don’t get me wrong the camera on my S4 is amazing, but when I take photos I want to feel like I’m shooting with a camera. I don’t want to miss photographic opportunities, so my smartphone camera is useful and I’m not complaining about its capabilities, as to be honest they are pretty awesome! However, this could just about fit the criteria that I’m looking for, so that I don’t miss those moments, and I can also feel the click of the shutter. For now though, I’ll try a few of these tips:-
Some very useful tips there for those people that want to make the most of their camera.
Going back to the S5 Zoom, there’s not all that much information around just yet. Still lots of speculation and with the release of only one image, it’s difficult to anticipate quite how well it will take off. I’ve found a further article, which provides a little more thought about the new proposed device.
Will the Galaxy S5 Zoom impress us this year? – PhoneDog
With the S5 being both waterproof and dustproof, I imagine this nixes any need for a Galaxy S5 Active (although I guess you never know); however, there are various reports and leaked images out at the moment that suggest that a second generation Zoom.
I’m most intrigued to find out more, and upon it’s eventual release I will be highly considering if this should be my next purchase. For now I’m going to get out there and play with the camera on my S4 and see what I can come up with.
Time to get snapping!
